Iā€™m a writer and arts journalist based in London. I write features, book reviews, and art reviews for The Telegraph, The Times, The TLS, The Spectator, The FT, Prospect, and others.

My first book, Pure Wit: The Revolutionary Life of Margaret Cavendish, was published by Head of Zeus in September 2023 in the United Kingdom, and by Pegasus Books in January 2024 in the United States. Pure Wit was a Spectator and History Today book of the year for 2023, and received starred reviews in Kirkus and Publishers Weekly.
